As a Multimedia Entertainment Technology magnet student at Palm Springs Middle School, students’ days are filled with exciting opportunities to explore the creative and technological realms.. The centerpiece of their electives is the Digital Art and Design course, tailored to their current year in the program, where they get to unleash their creativity and develop their skills using top-of-the-line Mac Desktops. The Digital Art and Design course offers a comprehensive and exhilarating experience, providing students with a well-rounded skill set in animating, filmmaking, editing, graphic design, and more.

Unique Features
At Palm Springs Middle School, the focus is on nurturing students’ passions and empowering them to excel in their chosen fields. In addition to the Magnet course, students can dive into the world of robotics, soar into the skies with Drones, delve into marine science, or even explore the fascinating field of agriscience, where they get hands-on experience working with the adorable farm animals that live on campus.
With a diverse array of over 20 electives and many more extracurriculars, the journey as a Multimedia Entertainment Technology magnet student is sure to be a captivating and fulfilling experience.
Deadlines
Parents must utilize the District’s School Choice and Parent Options Application form found here.
The magnet application is open from October 1st to January 15th.
Parents may submit only one application per child.
Students must be registered full-time to enter and remain in the magnet program.
Magnet application results will be made available to parents on or about March 15th.
All magnet acceptance notifications will be sent electronically via email.
When the number of eligible applications exceeds the number of spaces available, a computerized random selection process is issued for students’ selection.
