Job Description

We are seeking skilled Yacht Carpenters. This position is responsible for the construction of the teak deck sections and trim work for superyachts, boatyards, cruise ships and more.

Responsibilities

  • Using at work order, be able to select the proper size, amount, and grade of teak wood
  • Using templates, the teak is measured, cut and assembled using a variety of power tools, including; table saws, band saws, planers, circular saws, miter saws, belt sanders, levels, measurers and other hand tools.
  • Combine panels of teak battens that have been attached together on the underside and sealed side by side with caulk
  • Trim the panels to precise measurements to the pattern of the deck.
  • Maintain daily job sheet to record projects worked, time and materials used.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Yacht Carpenter or in a similar role within the marine industry.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Be able to operate all hand, portable power and fixed woodworking power tools.
  • Pass a drug screen.
  • A valid driver's license or state ID.
