Overview

Growing packaging manufacturer is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist. This position is responsible for coordinating and performing daily office tasks which will include shipping & receiving tasks and documentation, customer service, data entry and other administrative tasks. This position is 40 hours per week, 6:30am-3:00pm M-F. Temporary, starting asap and anticipated to be thru the end of Jan. 2026. This would be in their office in Hardeeville. The position is paying $21/hr.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound trucks daily.
• Print and distribute the daily truck schedule to all managers.
• Save the truck schedule and send it via the daily Production email, including dock status and schedule attachments.
• Receive, copy, and timestamp all ingate tickets from drivers.
• Create and print packets for all shipping orders; file and pull them as containers arrive.
• Prepare packets for all OTR (Over-the-Road) inbound shipments the day prior to arrival.
• Enter all OTR receiving data into the system.
• Verify shipment contents at the truck and provide drivers with instructions for on-site procedures.
• Compile and distribute the End-of-Day Report summarizing daily performance.
• Collect all shipping packets, print the Plant Shipping Log, and submit to the General Manager for approval.
• Complete invoicing for all approved packets the following day.
• Monitor the WestRock portal daily for weight data; once available, proceed with approval and invoicing.
• Throughout the day, send shipping documents and photos to customers as containers and trailers are shipped.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets for specific customer accounts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1+ years of office or administrative support experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong data entry skills
• Strong communication skills
• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
