Job Description

A healthcare facility is seeking two Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a full-semester contract in an elementary school setting. These positions provide an excellent opportunity to apply nursing skills in a school environment, supporting the health and well-being of young students.

Located in San Diego, CA, this role involves working closely with school staff to address student health needs, manage medical records, and administer care as necessary. One position is confirmed solid for the second semester, while the second position is likely to be available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care and health services to students
• Monitor and manage chronic and acute health conditions
• Assist with medication administration according to school policies
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers
• Support health education and wellness initiatives within the school

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
• Previous experience in pediatric or school healthcare preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR techniques
