Description POSITION TITLE: Junior Graphic Designer POSITION STATUS: Part-time, Hourly - 20 Hours per Week (on average) POSITION RANGE OF PAY: $22-$25 per Hour Job Description The Junior Graphic Designer will have a strong passion for design, content creation, and strategic thinking. This individual's responsibilities include designing and formatting Digital and Print marketing materials including emails, flyers, reports, social media posts, digital ads and other marketing collateral. They will need to be an organized and a strategic thinker with the ability to embrace change and foster new opportunities to grow the business. In this role, you will need to be a self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, dynamic, and at-times ambiguous start-up atmosphere, managing multiple complex projects, and fostering collaboration with and amongst internal teammates, and being a team player. Core Responsibilities Develop visual concepts and design advertisements that effectively communicate with target audiences Create print marketing materials such as brochures, decks, handbooks, flyers, posters, billboards, or postcards to promote products or campaigns Design corresponding digital assets to support promotion of products and campaigns throughout digital channels such as website, social, email, and paid advertising Depict brand product and lifestyle through small- and large-scale visual designs and installs at retail locations and activations Work alongside the Marketing team on projects and engage with print and production on final mechanical files Assist with mock-ups of retail spaces, digital signage, environmental design and other visual needs Understand typography, layout, composition, color theory and information design principles Work with cross-functional departments on collateral requests and briefs to understand design objectives and needs Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain strong attention detail, review final products for any errors or defects to ensure final prints meet company standard, and consistently meet deadlines Translate brand strategy into exceptional creative concepts across print and digital as well as perform retouching and image manipulation as needed Proficient within the Adobe Creative Suite and other pieces of graphic design software Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands. Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. Observe, see, hear and respond to directions given with effective outcome Lift 25-40 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary. Stand for short periods of time. Sit for medium/ high periods of time.
