Work with students of all ages and backgrounds to ensure that all students are provided the skills and tools to keep themselves safe.
Responsibilities:
Present child abuse prevention curriculum to children and youth in schools. Programs are provided in-person within a 50-mile radius of Carmel.
Interact with teachers, school staff, and children in a professional, but caring manner. All presentations are scheduled within normal school hours, generally 7am-2pm during the school year. This position offers flexible hours, allowing you to work 1-5 days per week.
Participate in on-going training to ensure that the program is being presented with fidelity.
Provide own transportation to and from all contracted presentations.
Reports to the Director of Programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree obtained or in progress in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred; or a combination of experience, education, and/or training.
Skills:
Ability to work with and interact well with children, good presentation skills, effective communication skills with school representatives.
Available and reliable to work the contracted days and schedules.
Organization, preparedness, and communication with other program staff including the Program Coordinator.
Training and coaching will be provided.
Compensation: Starting wage $18-20/hour depending on education and/or experience; mileage compensated at current federal reimbursement rate; paid time off; no-cost telehealth benefits.
