0656 \nPosition: Emergency Department RN\n\nContract Length: 13 weeks\nShift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM\nHours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)\nRadius Rule: 100 miles\n\nLicense & Certifications:\nCurrent NY RN license required\nBLS and ACLS required\nPALS required (or must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer)\nIV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation\nMust complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and obtain defibrillation certification within 6 months\n\nExperience Requirements:\nMinimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required\nCritical care and charge experience preferred\nMEDITECH experience required\nPrior travel experience required\nMay start entry-level without previous ED experience\n\nSkills & Abilities:\nAbility to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations\nThorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient care\nStrong assessment skills for clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs\nAwareness of safety protocols and proper patient handling\nAbility to work effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills\nStrong leadership with effective prioritization and delegation abilities\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills\nMay be required to assume charge nurse duties as needed
