Job Title: Textile Machine Operator
Location: Cherryville, NC
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM
Pay Rate: $16/hour
Requirements: Must have safety shoes
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Textile Machine Operator to join our team. While direct experience operating warp machines is preferred, we are also interested in candidates with other textile manufacturing experience—such as spinning, weaving, or general machine operation. This role is essential to ensuring quality production and efficient operation of textile equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate textile machinery, including setup, monitoring, and adjustments to maintain consistent production.
Load materials and thread machines accurately, ensuring correct tension and threading paths.
Inspect machinery to ensure proper function and perform basic troubleshooting.
Conduct quality checks throughout production, including checking selvage, circumference, and overall product consistency.
Record production data and report any downtime or maintenance issues.
Assist with doffing, tying, and labeling of textile rolls/beams as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
Communicate effectively with team members and shift leaders regarding production status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a textile manufacturing environment is required (spinning, weaving, or other textile processes).
Experience with warping machines is a plus, but not required.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and basic machine settings.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Capable of working in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
