Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team! In this role, you will provide addiction diagnostic assessments, case management, and engaging individual and group counseling for clients struggling with chemical dependency. You’ll work collaboratively within a clinical team, guided by a supervising psychiatrist, to deliver compassionate care to those in need.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a primary therapist, delivering effective Substance Use Disorder treatment through various therapeutic modalities.
Ensure timely completion and thoroughness of progress summaries and required documentation.
Conduct comprehensive quality audits of patient records.
Perform initial and ongoing assessments to accurately determine diagnoses and appropriate levels of care.
Facilitate individual, family, and group counseling sessions that foster client engagement and motivation throughout their recovery journey.
Create personalized and culturally sensitive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
Communicate effectively with other care providers and referral sources to enhance understanding of client strengths and challenges.
Engage in professional development and supervision to continuously improve client care processes.
Maintain accurate and compliant medical record documentation in a timely manner.
Achieve productivity goals by employing innovative techniques to actively involve clients and minimize missed appointments.
Collaborate as a vital member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a clinical internship in chemical dependency or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency or mental health program.
CASAC, or CASAC-T with the expectation of obtaining full certification within 24 months, or OASAS QHP licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT or a permit holder).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in a Human Services field such as Associates, Bachelors, or Master's.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position involves sedentary work; it may include exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Primarily, the job requires sitting, with occasional walking or standing.
PAY RANGE:
$60,500.00 - $75,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. Factors such as experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts will determine pay.
