Overview:

We're seeking a passionate and experienced SharePoint Developer to not only build and maintain our SharePoint Online environment but also to champion its adoption and enhance user experience across the organization. This is a direct-hire, hybrid position based in vibrant Phoenix, AZ, offering a competitive salary commensurate with your expertise.

As our SharePoint Developer, you'll be instrumental in strategically evolving our online applications and infrastructure to optimize business processes, streamline workflows, and empower our employees. You'll be more than just a developer – you'll be a SharePoint ambassador, working closely with various departments to understand their needs, implement effective solutions, and inspire them to leverage the full potential of the platform.

What You'll Do:

  • Shape and Govern Our SharePoint Environment: Oversee the ongoing development, maintenance, and governance of our cloud-based SharePoint site, ensuring a robust and user-friendly platform. This includes managing lists, libraries, forms, reports, and workflows.
  • Connect Systems and Data: Develop and maintain seamless connections between our cloud and on-premises systems, including SQL Server, Power Apps, and the broader Azure/Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Develop and Integrate Solutions: Write and execute SQL queries, develop insightful reports, and build robust integrations with other key business applications.
  • Elevate Our Digital Presence: Maintain and update our intranet and corporate websites, ensuring a consistent, modern design and optimal user experience.
  • Analyze and Optimize: Proactively analyze business operations and systems to identify opportunities for significant improvement in application and user efficiency, with a focus on enhancing engagement.
  • Build and Implement Applications: Develop and implement innovative software applications, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem, that directly aligns critical business processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and Support: Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, data, and system integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to our users.
  • Empower Our Users: Serve as a SharePoint subject matter expert, assisting in training users on new processes and system functionalities, and championing the platform's value across the organization.
  • Maintain Quality and Control: Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of version control and thorough testing processes to ensure solution stability.
  • Safeguard Our Data: Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and appropriate governance of company data stored within our SharePoint sites.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Foster strong communication and collaboration within the IT team and across all departments, actively promoting SharePoint adoption and understanding.
  • Drive SharePoint Adoption: Proactively promote the use of SharePoint as a primary internal tool, demonstrating its value and encouraging user engagement through clear communication and effective solutions.
  • Enhance User Experience: Take ownership of the SharePoint user experience, implementing improvements to the interface and navigation to make it more intuitive and engaging ("put a new coat of paint on it").
  • Lead Full Lifecycle Projects: Take initiative to drive projects from initial concept and requirements gathering through to successful execution and deployment.
  • Be a SharePoint Ambassador: Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic point of contact for all things SharePoint, readily assisting users and promoting best practices.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrable industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience with:
  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Online administration and development.
  • Solid understanding of the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in MS-SQL Server, including writing complex queries and developing insightful reports.
  • Proven ability to build and customize SharePoint forms and workflows effectively.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint on-premises environments (a plus).
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot and natural language processing (a plus).
  • Strong working knowledge and practical experience with (preferred):
  • C# and .NET Framework.
  • UI/UX Design principles and best practices.
  • ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML for enhancing user interfaces.
  • Power BI and Power Apps for data visualization and application development.
  • Proven experience with middleware, data management, and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, ETLs).
  • Understanding of SaaS, SQL, web application management, Azure, and AWS.
  • Background in the construction industry (preferred).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Boomi or other middleware, Planful, and web/mobile solutions and integration (helpful).
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Experience working with both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer support (internal and external).
  • Proven ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team, and effectively support other corporate departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive and helpful attitude, with a willingness to assist others beyond core development tasks.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to local and out-of-state offices and job sites, including occasional overnight stays if required.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
