Job Description

Job Summary: The QA Lead is responsible for ensuring that software meets quality standards, requirements, and is defect-free. This involves designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to prevent defects throughout the software development lifecycle. Location:Linthicum Heights, Maryland, United States Responsibilities:

Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases (functional, integration, regression, performance).
Execute manual and automated tests, track defects, and ensure resolution.
Automate test cases using test automation frameworks and tools.
Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and operations to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, usability, and accessibility testing.
Monitor quality metrics and recommend improvements.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
Document test results, maintain test artifacts, and audit test coverage.
Use defect tracking tools and manage the bug lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience in software testing / QA.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile / scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD.
Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience in government / regulated systems (e.g., compliance, accessibility).
Performance or load testing experience.
Security / penetration testing knowledge.
Experience in REST API / integration testing.
Experience with service virtualization / mocking tools.
