Job Title: Planner/Scheduler
Job Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
Location: Twinsburg, OH
Shift: 1st shift

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and inventory levels, adjusting as needed to accommodate changes

• Inventory Management: Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, collaborating with procurement to ensure timely deliveries. Effectively monitor the flow of goods through the inventory management system and warehouse physical storage

• Resource Allocation: Partnering with the Production Manager to estimate required manpower, equipment, and materials for production runs
• Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity and partner with the Production Manager to identify potential bottlenecks to optimize production flow
• Performance Monitoring: Track performance metrics like productivity, efficiency, and scrap rates to identify areas for improvement. This includes analysis and presenting recommendations for improvement
• Communication: Work closely with various departments including sales, procurement, operations, and manufacturing
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Participate in cross training and continuous skill development

Requirements

• Minimum Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
• Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar
• Prefer ASCM/APIC CPIM certification
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and the concepts of continuous improvement
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience working as a production planner in a manufacturing and/or fulfillment center
• Proficient in data analysis and the development of operations performance metrics and reports
• Ability to work in a productive, cooperative manner with other company employees
• Strong attention to detail to produce high quality sub-assemblies and finished products
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Ability to multitask in a moderate paced environment
• Must have a “Can-Do” attitude of no job too big, no job too small that includes a small team willingness to do the work yourself as required
• Participate in cross training and continuous skill development
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
