About This Role:
- Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Pain Management Physician
- Outpatient M-F Schedule - 8am -5pm
- As a Pain Management Physician, you will lead patient-centered treatment plans to address chronic pain.
- This role involves working closely with patients, referring providers, and a multidisciplinary care team to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized pain management treatment plans for patients with chronic pain conditions.
- Perform minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures
- Injections, epidurals, radiofrequency ablation, nerve blocks, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulator trials
- minimally invasive spinal interventions as appropriate including kyphoplasty, stimulator implants, intrathecal pump implants
- minimally invasive lumbar decompression, and minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusions.
- Prescribe medications and implement non-pharmacological pain management strategies.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive pain treatment plans.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with opioid prescribing regulations, pain management protocols, and quality care standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on advancements in pain management treatments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Background Desired:
- MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology, or Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
- Valid state medical license (must be active before the first day of employment).
- Active DEA Registration.
- Two (2) years clinical practice experience in Pain Management preferred. New fellowship grad applications maybe be considered.
- Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (Required) - ACGME approved fellowship.
- Current ACLS certification.
- 2 Professional References.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience in interventional pain management procedures
- Knowledge of pharmacological treatments for pain management including opioids, best practices and alternative pain therapies
- Familiarity with chronic disease management
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in Nerve Conduction Studies, preferred.
- Experience providing primary (longitudinal) care.
