As a Part Time Claims Success Associate Mail Clerk at Luna, you will primarily be responsible for managing the essential mail operations that support our Claims Success Team. Your role will involve picking up, sorting, and distributing mail, with a key focus on handling checks and ensuring they are accurately deposited and posted to patient accounts. You will also assist in the mailing of claims and denial disputes, providing crucial support to our billing and insurance processes. In addition to mail-related tasks, you'll learn the basics of insurance billing and offer general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our team. This is an "on site" role- Candidates must be able to commute to our Nashville office How you will have an impact Pickup mail from the post office 2x/week. Sort through mail, distributing to other departments are needed. Deposit all checks received into the appropriate bank account, and ensure payment is posted correctly to the corresponding patient account. Scan and distribute all payment explanations to the appropriate team. Scan and distribute all correspondence to the appropriate team. Mail claims not set up for electronic submission via snail mail as required weekly Assist in mailing denial disputes for the claims success team Learn/understand the basics of insurance billing: PPOs, HMOs, Medicare, Workers Comp to support the team and other teams as necessary. Maintains industry level working knowledge of medical billing occurring in Luna Support Admin functions Candid queue based work to support job functions, claims team, and payment posting Performs Ad Hoc tasks at managers discretion.
