Title: Assembler II

Location: Thomasville, GA 31792

Duration: 6 Months contract (Potential to convert to FT)

2 Shifts available: Early Morning shift 5am - 5:00pm, Night shift 6:30pm - 5:00am

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
• Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
• Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
• Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
• May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
• Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping.
• Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
• Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site. Completes required documentation related to production.
• Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
• Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
• Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
• Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
