Summary/Objective:
Our creative and collaborative Design Team is looking to expand. We are seeking a motivated and passionate
Junior Graphic Designer (Part-Time)
to help support our Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer in the production of visual assets for the Brooklyn Brewery and additional brands. Working within the brand guidelines, this position works closely with the Art Director to service the design needs for our marketing, sales, and tasting room teams. If you're a creative individual with a strong eye for detail, a passion for design, and the desire to grow in your craft, we'd love to hear from you!
Essential Functions:
Create visually compelling (print & digital) assets and prep final production files for various visual touch points including but not limited to:
Marketing
Create mocks for branded merchandise and wearable items
Assist with the creative execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives
Design and produce advertisements for various platforms, including digital, print, and outdoor media
Design graphics for the company website, ensuring a seamless user experience and alignment with brand identity
Sales
Design eye-catching point-of-sale materials to enhance customer engagement and promote products
Update annual sales materials to equip the team with our most up to date assets
Tasting Room & Events
Support the promotion of Tasting Room and US Marketing events by creating visual assets for both digital and print media
Support the Tasting Room by designing engaging visuals for the bar and store, highlighting and promoting our beers and merchandise
Internal Document & Template Support
Develop user-friendly templates within Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft PowerPoint to streamline marketing and sales teams processes
Create professional and visually appealing presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders
Creative Ideation
Stay current with design trends and programs
Develop clear concept sketches and thumbnails
Flex outside of the box thinking to contribute to brainstorm meetings, providing fresh ideas and design solutions
Pitch concepts, moodboards, and thought processes to the Brand Team
Content Organization & Management
Manage Brandfolder, our external file platform, ensuring all documents are organized and up to date.
Work Environment:
This role works with the Brooklyn Brewery Marketing Team, for approximately 32 hours a week (8 hours/4 days). The ideal candidate must be flexible with weekly hours. Position can be remote as long as Eastern Standard Time working hours are observed. Local, hybrid is preferred.
Qualifications
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro
Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) and Google (Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
Experience with prepress files and preparing files for print
Strong understanding of the difference between digital & print file set up and save out
Ability to organize and package artwork files for team hand off
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Can-do, proactive attitude
Strong time management skills
Ability to multitask while maintaining a keen eye for details
Eager to learn and further develop their design skills
Receives and implements constructive critique well
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
1-2 years design experience
After Effects experience is a plus
Salary Range:
The hourly base pay range for this role is $25.00 per hour. Actual base pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills.
