Job Opportunity: HR Internship

Evers & Sons is seeking a talented, experienced, and motivated HR Intern to assist and facilitate Human Resources processes, including but not limited to employment, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, training, and employee relations.

Internship Program

We will meet A&M internship required hours.

Prequalification's

A high school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit.

Required Experience

  • Positive attitude, results-driven, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed, energetic, and able to work without supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to initiate the research of employee questions and issues; be able to determine which issues should be escalated to the Director of HR
  • Ability to work under pressure and able to successfully multi-task by recognizing priorities
  • Basic understanding of human resources functions.

  • Recruitment and Staffing Support: Assist with managing the recruitment process by helping post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews. Provide administrative support during interviews and maintain communication between hiring managers and candidates.
  • Onboarding Assistance: Support the onboarding process for new hires by helping organize orientation sessions and introducing company policies. Assist in setting up necessary accounts and tools for new employees.
  • Training Program Assistance: Help identify training needs and support the coordination of training programs to ensure compliance with company and federal requirements. Assist in organizing and hosting training sessions for employees, focusing on areas like workplace conduct and safety.
  • Performance Management Support: Provide logistical support during performance evaluation processes, such as scheduling review sessions and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Employee Relations Support: Serve as a support point for employee inquiries, helping address basic employment-related issues under supervision and promoting positive relations through the accurate relay of company policies.
  • Benefits Administration Assistance: Help employees with the initial stages of benefits enrollment and provide support during qualifying life events under the guidance of senior HR staff.
  • Compliance and Safety Assistance: Support efforts to ensure compliance with employment regulations. Assist in tracking safety training attendance and compliance documentation.
  • Workers' Compensation Support: Assist in the administrative tasks related to Workers' Compensation claims, including scheduling interviews and tracking reports.
  • HR Policy and Procedure Support: Help maintain and update HR policies and procedures under the direction of HR management. Distribute updated policy information to employees as directed.
  • Payroll Assistance: Provide support in payroll operations by helping verify employee timesheets and addressing basic inquiries related to payroll under supervision.
  • Compensation and Records Management Support: Assist in maintaining organizational charts, job descriptions, and salary records. Help update the HRIS with employee record changes.
  • Employee Records and Data Management: Support the maintenance of confidential employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Exit Management Support: Assist with the offboarding process by preparing paperwork and supporting exit interviews.
  • Learning Management System Support: Help input training records and documentation into the learning management system, and assist in creating basic training materials.
