We are looking for a Global Payroll Manager to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

As Global Payroll Manager, you will lead and organize the daily activities of the payroll team, managing payroll calendars and ensuring accurate, timely US tax reporting. You will provide operational support to clients, delivering payroll instructions and reconciling results with foreign subsidiaries. Additionally, you will audit payments, address client inquiries, and become well-versed in expatriate payroll and tax compliance. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Financial Services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organize and lead the daily work of the payroll team, working on a sub-set of clients
  • Manage payroll calendars across the team
  • Lead all UAT testing and ensure testing templates are completed across team per client
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert providing team support when required
  • Vendor Management of payroll tax vendors
  • Accurate and timely US tax reporting
  • Deliver payroll instructions and reconcile results with foreign payroll subsidiaries
  • Ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll through auditing and controls
  • Review and audit payments to include in compensation reporting
  • Import and export payroll data and research issues leading up to the period close
  • Reconcile several key payroll accounts and administer ad hoc projects and reports
  • Participate in payroll operations software implementations, upgrades and user acceptance testing
  • Assess and improve processes where there are opportunities for better efficiencies and controls
  • Provide excellent customer service leading to client satisfaction
  • Assist the Sr. Manager, Financial Services with ongoing projects that pertain to Payroll services
  • Communicate in a clear professional manner with internal and external customers
  • Participate and provide insight and expertise within client meetings
  • Work closely with clients in providing operational support and solutions to questions and concerns
  • Learn the specialized processes for expatriate payroll and tax compliance
  • Work closely with contacts to provide payroll support

About You

  • Experience processing US payroll for a complex and or large employer
  • Extensive payroll tax compliance experience required
  • Strong team leadership skills and ability to lead in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) and excellent attention to detail
  • Ad hoc reporting skills utilizing MS Access or similar platforms
  • Goal oriented analytical approach in seeking solutions to issues
  • Proven ability to apply accounting methodologies and controls within pre and post audits
  • Proven ability to drive payroll production towards accurate results
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to drive operational improvements to increase efficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service history, including both written & verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in payroll software implementation
  • Strong desire and ability to absorb technology and experience with troubleshooting, testing and providing operational solutions
  • Prior experience with Global Mobility/Expatriate Assignment Programs desired
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or (FPC) certification desired

Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 + Bonus Eligible

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
