Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Generator Mechanic! A Generator Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of generators, typically used to provide backup power for homes, businesses, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including engine malfunctions, fuel systems, and control panels.
• Install and commission new generators, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing systems.
• Conduct load bank tests and other performance assessments to verify generator efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and tests performed.
• Order and replace defective parts and components as needed.
• Provide emergency repairs and on-call support for generator failures or issues.
• Educate clients on proper generator usage, maintenance schedules, and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in generator repair or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, electrical systems, and fuel systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Work is performed in various environments, including client sites, workshops, and outdoors.
• May require travel to different job sites and on-call availability for emergency repairs.
• Exposure to noise, fumes, and hazardous materials is common, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
