Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Cable Technician to join our team in Gainesville, Georgia. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving network cabling, telecom systems, and audiovisual setups. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structured cabling and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality installations. Responsibilities: - Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 network cables in compliance with 568A/568B standards. - Set up and maintain telecom and audiovisual systems, including conference room equipment, speakers, and displays. - Perform cable pulling, labeling, organizing racks and patch panels, and ensuring proper cable management. - Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues related to telecom and audiovisual systems. - Collaborate with project leads to deliver clean, accurate installations within specified timelines. - Conduct testing and verification of installed systems to ensure optimal functionality. - Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to industry standards. - Provide on-site support across various client locations as required. Requirements - Proven experience in structured cabling, telecom wiring, and audiovisual system setups. - Proficiency in using tools such as punchdown tools, toners, crimpers, and testers. - Knowledge of low-voltage cabling standards and best practices. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity or installation issues. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Capability to work effectively on-site across multiple client locations. - Understanding of cable management techniques and labeling standards.
