Our client, a home décor & textile company, is looking for a Design Assistant to help their team create print and patterns for textiles/ home décor items team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This role is on-site in Hazlet, NJ 4x per week. Please do not apply if you cannot commute to tis area!

Job Description: The Print / Textile Design Assistant is responsible for assisting with the creative printed designs of textile & décor products, for various retailers ranging from Mass Market to Fashion Market. The person will execute the development of printed designs by working with internal departments (Product Development / Production) from concept to finish.

Duties/ Skills:

• Degree in Illustration, Fabric/Textile Design, or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in designing printed designs for apparel/fashion - home textiles a plus / seasonal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Photoshop + Illustrator
• Develop print/patterns for specific trend and seasonal needs
• Research trend and develop a vision to bring newness and fresh ideas to concept!
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and follow through on all projects
• Follow and support all established procedures within Design Department
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, scheduling conflicts, revisions, and technical challenges effectively
• Portfolio displaying relevant print/ patterns required.
