Responsibilities:

• Operate hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing machinery to weld metal
• Preheat workpieces before welding
• Fill holes, indentations, or seams
• Inspect products for quality and conformance to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders, etc.
• Must be able to read weld symbols
• Must know the MIG welding process and be proficient
• Measure and calculate dimensions
• Be familiar with decimal/fraction conversions
• Ignite torches or start power supplies
• Hammer out bulges
• Oversee the welding process to prevent overheating and adjust settings
• Be proficient with hand tools (hammers, squares, grinders, drills, impacts, wrenches, etc)
• Maintain the safety and functionality of equipment and machinery
• Be comfortable being around/potentially using overhead cranes, tow motors, scissor lifts, and platform ladders
• Train new hires
• Comply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective gear
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Aluminum welding and TIG welding experience a plus

Position Requirements:

• Previous welding experience is required
• Mathematical skills
• Stand for an extended time
• Problem-solver
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
