At White Orchid Hospice, our volunteers are an essential part of our mission, helping to provide comfort, companionship, and compassionate care to patients and their families. Volunteer Opportunities:

• Patient Companion: Offer your time and presence by reading, listening, holding a hand, or simply being there for patients who may be lonely or in need of connection.
• Respite Volunteer: Sit with patients to give primary caregivers a chance to rest, run errands, or attend appointments.
• Animal Assisted Therapy Volunteer: Bring certified pets to brighten patients’ days. Animals must be certified through Delta Society or another recognized program.
• Administrative Volunteers: Assist our team with light office tasks like filing, copying, and organizing to help keep operations running smoothly.
• 11th Hour Volunteers: Specially trained volunteers provide a calm, comforting presence for patients approaching the end of life.
