We are seeking a creative UX/UI Designer with Front-End Development Skills to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, Creative Technologists, and the Principal Creative Director, we are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer with Front-End Development Skills to join our creative team and help craft exceptional digital experiences. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing user-centric interfaces that are as beautiful as they are functional. You will collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to bring ideas to life across web, mobile, and product platforms.

Responsibilities:

Design & User Experience

  • Create intuitive wireframes, storyboards, site maps, and user flows
  • Lead the full design process—from research and ideation to prototyping and evaluation
  • Devise seamless, mobile-first user interactions and optimize for responsive design
  • Build and maintain robust design systems
  • Conduct user-acceptance testing and analyze feedback to inform improvements

Development & Maintenance

  • Develop, update, and maintain websites across platforms like Shopify and WordPress
  • Build new web pages and site sections, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines
  • Assist with front-end and back-end testing and maintenance
  • Support email development across client campaigns
  • Integrate APIs and manage analytics/tracking implementations (Google Analytics, GTM, pixel tracking)

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Participate in daily scrums and weekly resource meetings
  • Manage workflow via platforms like Monday.com, Slack, and Jira
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance digital output
  • Stay current on industry trends, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to client work
  • Present work confidently to internal stakeholders and external partners, owning feedback and evolving solutions

Requirements:

3–6+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front-end development .

· Strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design , interactive prototypes, and live sites.

· Proficient in Figma , Sketch , Adobe Creative Suite , and front-end technologies ( HTML , CSS , JavaScript ).

· Experienced with Shopify , WordPress , and email marketing platforms.

· Familiarity with analytics and tracking implementation ( Google Analytics , GTM , pixels) is a plus.

· Highly proactive , solutions-oriented, and collaborative with a digital-first mindset .

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology , Computer Science , or a related field.

· Strong planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.

· Able to work autonomously , manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

· Excellent critical-thinking skills.

· Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage, prioritize, and anticipate workload while proactively updating senior managers.

· Collaborative, thoughtful, and professional approach to team relationships and client interactions.

· A discerning eye for design and subtle animation .

· Positive, can-do attitude with a friendly, helpful, and creative spirit—ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever needed.

Location: NYC Hybrid – Remote/In-Office (Recommend in-office for real growth)

Status: Miscellaneous Independent Contractor, Freelance (Benefits offered: 33 days of PTO/year)

Rate: $6,000/Mo. (Fixed retainer) $72,000 Annual
