The Director, Tech and Human Performance position includes substantial academic and administrative responsibilities.
The key responsibilities of the Director position, under the general guidance and direction of the Faculty Director of the Center for Resilience and Data Justice are listed below. This position will also collaborate with other leaders and campus entities involved with data-centric research. Within this collaborative context, the incumbent will have latitude to exercise expertise and knowledge to achieve the goals of the center.
This position will be a hybrid job working both remote and onsite at the UCLA campus or other related locations as business needs dictate.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have a background that specifically demonstrates the following: * A Ph.D. (or equivalent)* Extensive track record of research and innovation in the use of sport and health-related technologies, program leadership, and program building * Substantial successful management and leadership experience * Extensive experience, engagement and understanding of data, technology, health, sport, ethics, and governance * An excellent reputation and an extensive established network in the high performance (Olympic) and professional sport ecosystem * Advanced administrative and organizational skills * A proven track record in fundraising and budget management * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and the broader community * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draw on the ideas of others and convert them into meaningful strategies and plans and to represent those ideas to a variety of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, policymakers, the public and the press * Ability to facilitate dialogues, identify barriers to effectiveness, and generate support for solutions * High professional and ethical standards that reflect UCLA's core values, purpose and missionLab :

Basic qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Gender Studies, or in a Humanities, Social Sciences or Arts field of expertise related to the area of Human Performance, Critical Race Theory.
Preferred qualifications
