Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with strong LDRP and postpartum care skills in a Birth Center setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in the Birth Center with 12 L&D beds and 8 postpartum/antepartum beds
  • Includes care in 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 6-bed level II NICU
  • Labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patient population
  • Requires 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend scheduled
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Epic EMR (experience required)
  • Teal scrubs provided
  • Responsibilities include full-scope L&D, postpartum care, circulating C-sections, and newborn receiving
  • Multilingual skills in Russian or Spanish are preferred but not required
  • NP is on call for additional support
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Weekend coverage required as part of rotation

  • Active WA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years Labor & Delivery experience, including at least 1 year LDRP
  • Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
  • Proficiency with cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, IVs, fetal monitoring, and Pitocin
  • Postpartum care experience, including transition to discharge for mother and baby
  • Must be able to circulate C-sections; baby catching/receiving required
  • Scrub experience preferred
  • Familiarity with APGAR scoring and breastfeeding support
