Job Title: Training Manager, Human Resources

Pay Rate: $57,000-$65,000 /annual salary.

As a member of the Human Resources Training Team at The Broadmoor - the longest running Forbes 5-Star and AAA 5-Diamond resort in the world - you'll design and deliver impactful training programs and strategic events, contributing to a legacy defined by a rich history of excellence, professional growth, and a luxurious environment.


The position of Training Manager plans, coordinates, and leads team member training and development initiatives for all areas of The Broadmoor. This includes facilitating large format training classes, as well as assisting with individual and team assessments that lead to customized learning initiatives. This position will participate in the development and implementation of Broadmoor University classes and programs across a variety of disciplines.

The Training Manager is a leadership position on our team, requiring the ability to work independently, and consistently bring energy and excitement to deliver the best learning and development culture in the hospitality industry. A strong background of collaboration with a diverse group of departments and teams, as well as diligent organizational skills are needed to be successful. This position will regularly design, develop and execute improvements and enhancements into how we teach and mentor team members at The Broadmoor by further instilling a service culture among us all.

What you will be doing:
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation on a regular basis. Acquaint new team members with the company's policies, procedures and benefits. Introduce and represent the culture of The Broadmoor.
  • Facilitate "The Art of Hospitality" training curriculum.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of all Forbes standards training visits and develops ongoing standards training initiatives in between Forbes training.
  • Responsible for creating and assisting with distribution of team member communications, including, but not limited to: Beekeeper posts, Special Announcements, Recognition, etc.
  • Creates, develops, enhances and facilitates all training initiatives and sessions involved in The Broadmoor initiatives in collaboration with and under the direction of the Director of Training.
  • Develops relationships with department managers and works closely with training managers and operational managers to determine training needs and to develop and execute action plans to increase effectiveness of departmental training.
  • Organizes and assists in the development of training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials to ensure alignment with The Broadmoor standards.
  • Assist in facilitating management training classes when necessary.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Five plus years of experience in the hospitality industry, or event coordination experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Instructional design preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Executes duties with a strong sense of attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others and independently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Learning Management Systems experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 25 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
