We are currently seeking a Teradata DBA to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
Teradata DBA with 7-10 years of experience
Key Attributes:
Analytical capabilities to understand issues and analyze logically.
Willingness to go the extra mile to understand tasks and undertake the required learning through peers and online sources.
Eager to learn automations using Linux shell scripts/Procedures/Python etc.
Maintaining/creating documents, standards and share and learn with team.
Technologies:
Teradata client: Well versed in Teradata tools and utilities TTU, Teradata Studio, Teradata Studio and BTEQ.
Backup and Recovery: Good understanding of database, tables backups and recovery using DSA Backup, Data Mover, Queries/Scripts.
TASM: Understanding of TASM portlets, workload management, alerts and configurations.
Database performance tuning with understanding of System Configurations, stats and indexes.
Understanding of query optimization techniques based on the issues observed or raised by other teams.
Understanding of DBQL logs and PDCR logs.
Able to manage and monitor system performance of the database systems to ensure services with minimum downtime.
Knows how to do installation, configure and upgrade Teradata software and related products.
Understanding of database security
Able to work with release management of database changes as part of path to production.
IBM Datastage: Strong Platform admin knowledge managing IBM Datastage ETL tool (Preferred with Autosys knowledge)
Operating Systems: Well versed with Linux and Windows.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure).
Preferred:
Working with Teradata support team for issues required vendor support by providing details and logs using TSET.
Open to learn other tools and technologies under Business Intelligence and Data warehousing platform administration area.
