Basic Beginnings is looking for an energetic Teacher's Assistant/Full-Time Floater to join our team! As a Teacher's Assistant/Floater, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!
Responsibilities:
- Assist students individually and in small groups
- Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school
- Enforce classroom rules and procedures
- Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the Lead teacher
- Must be able to bend & lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to attend Monthly Staff Meetings
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children
- Must be a team player and communicate effectively with Parents, Children, and staff
- Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable of EEC Regulations
- Have a positive attitude & be reliable
- First Aid and CPR Certifiable
- Required to maintain minimum workshop requirements
- Must be able to bend & lift up to 40 pounds
