Job Summary :
The Supply Planner will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, managing product demand, and ensuring a smooth supply chain process. This position involves collaborating with various departments to forecast sales, plan inventory, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand. Key Responsibilities :
· Utilize forecasting tools and historical data to accurately predict product demand across different locations.
· Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory.
· Collaborate with internal teams, including distribution, logistics, and sales, to align supply chain processes and ensure timely product availability.
· Monitor inventory levels and analyze inventory performance metrics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
· Communicate regularly with suppliers to negotiate terms, manage lead times, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
· Generate reports and provide insights on inventory forecasts, supply chain efficiency, and performance metrics to support decision-making processes.
· Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
· Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications :
· Experience in supplying the arborist, landscaping, fire & rescue, climbing, utility, industrial rope access (IRA) or military is a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
· Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
· A proactive approach to problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to implement process improvements
· Proven experience (5+ years) in retail supply chain planning, inventory management, or a similar role within the retail industry.
· Experience with manufacturing concepts (bill of materials, work orders, etc.) to support components and finished good level planning and purchasing.
· Experience in supporting product lifecycle management from onboarding new vendor partners to exiting products
· Proficiency in utilizing supply chain and planning software and advanced knowledge of inventory management systems. NetSuite and NetStock are highly preferred.
· Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
