What You'll Do:

• You'll be the expert at understanding blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine precise fitting requirements.

• Accurately fit and align structural steel components, ensuring perfect connections and adherence to strict tolerances.

• Depending on the project, you may be responsible for welding or tack-welding components together.

• Inspect fabricated components to guarantee they meet all specifications and quality standards.

• Safely use cranes and other equipment to move and position steel components throughout the shop.

• Collaborate effectively with welders, project managers, and potentially mentor junior fitters.

• Uphold all safety protocols and contribute to a secure work environment.

What You'll Bring:

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Structural Steel Fitter in a weld shop setting.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.

• Strong understanding of fitting and alignment techniques for structural steel.

• Experience with material handling equipment, including overhead cranes.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
