Are you a skilled Structural Steel Fitter looking for a dynamic weld shop environment? What You'll Do:
You'll be the expert at understanding blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine precise fitting requirements.
Accurately fit and align structural steel components, ensuring perfect connections and adherence to strict tolerances.
Depending on the project, you may be responsible for welding or tack-welding components together.
Inspect fabricated components to guarantee they meet all specifications and quality standards.
Safely use cranes and other equipment to move and position steel components throughout the shop.
Collaborate effectively with welders, project managers, and potentially mentor junior fitters.
Uphold all safety protocols and contribute to a secure work environment.
What You'll Bring:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Structural Steel Fitter in a weld shop setting.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of fitting and alignment techniques for structural steel.
Experience with material handling equipment, including overhead cranes.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
