Job Description

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful structural steel fabricator in the greater Augusta, Georgia area on their search for a Structural Steel Detailer for structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication and erection projects.

The Steel Detailer will review fabrication shop and field erecting drawings for accuracy and conformance with AISC standards.

Title: Structural Steel Detailer

Project Types: Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals - Commercial, Light Industrial

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review and check drawings and specifications for accuracy
• Mark up drawings from detailers for engineering review
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Coordinate with a team of in-house engineers and external detailers

Qualifications:

• Complete knowledge of AISC standards and practices
• Proficiency in SDS/2 required (2D)
• 5+ years' structural steel detailing and checking experience (commercial structural steel and miscellaneous metals project knowledge highly desirable)
• Knowledge in steel connection design required
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar preferred
