Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will ensure compliance and financial records following accounting procedures while executing detailed accounting tasks in multiple functional areas. This position has the opportunity to apply strong processes and standards in a fast-paced, growing company while building foundational processes and procedures within the department and the company.
Key Responsibilities: - Reconciles customer accounts to verify correct billing.
- Process new accounts and incoming payments in a timely manner.
- Creates AR statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Creates invoices and send them to customers through various channels. (mail, email, etc.)
- May also assist in monthly billings to customers.
- Communicates with past due customers to resolve outstanding balances as necessary.
- Prepares monthly P&L for individual departments.
- Records all Inventory PO’s.
- Tracks all inventory receipts against Inventory PO’s.
- Prepares weekly inventory payment schedule.
- Records and track pre-payments and payments for Inventory Purchases.
- Maintains accurate Fixed Asset schedule.
- Maintains accurate depreciation schedule.
- Maintains accurate prepaid asset schedule.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs to inventory vendors and contractors.
- Reviews and approves credit card transactions and monthly reconciliation.
Skills and Experience: - 3-5 years of years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, NetSuite experience a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures, principles, and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to stay organized and manage tasks to ensure the prompt completion of projects.
- Strong team player who can manage multiple manufacturing accounts.
- Openness to feedback and a collaborative approach to working in a team.
