Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive tax consulting and preparation services for clients in industries such as hospitality, real estate, and other sectors.
• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and sales tax returns with accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on tax strategies and planning to optimize their financial outcomes.
• Manage client relationships by delivering clear communication and tailored tax solutions.
• Utilize software such as LaCerte, QuickBooks, and Excel to perform efficient tax accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with partners and accounting staff to ensure seamless operations during tax season.
• Oversee complex tax situations and provide solutions to meet client needs.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Assist with training and mentoring entry-level staff members to enhance team performance.
• Participate in extended hours during tax season to meet deadlines and client expectations.• Proven experience in public tax accounting, including individual and corporate tax preparation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sales and use tax regulations.
• Proficiency with tax accounting software such as LaCerte and QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong consulting skills with the ability to advise clients on tax strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, especially during peak tax season.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
