Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is for a full-time Special Education Teacher within a K-12 school setting in Rockford, MI. The contract spans the entire school year, starting August 14, 2025, with interviews beginning immediately.

There are four openings available, each requiring specific endorsements and responsibilities:

• High School ASD Teacher: Must have Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement and experience teaching at the high school level.
• Elementary EI Teacher: Must hold an Emotional Impairment Endorsement, working with elementary students.
• Secondary EI Teacher: This role covers both middle and high school students with Emotional Impairment Endorsement required.
• Elementary ASD Teacher: Must have Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement and work with elementary-aged students.

The schedule is full time at 37.25 hours per week.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid Michigan teaching license with the appropriate endorsements for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Emotional Impairment (EI).
• Previous teaching experience in special education is preferred.
• Ability to develop individualized education plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong munication skills and dedication to student success.

Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to students unique needs, managing classroom environments conducive to learning, and ensuring pliance with all state and federal educational guidelines related to special education.
