Overview The Spanish Interpreter provides language support to ensure effective communication between Spanish-speaking students, families, and school staff. This position is on an as-needed basis and may be asked to support school functions such as parent/teacher conferences, school registration, or translation of written documents. Responsibilities Provide oral interpretation during parent/teacher conferences, school events, and meetings. Assist Spanish-speaking families during student registration and enrollment processes. Translate school communications, letters, and forms from English to Spanish (and vice versa), as needed. Maintain confidentiality of student and family information at all times. Communicate in a professional, culturally sensitive, and accurate manner. Collaborate with school staff to ensure families receive timely and understandable information. Qualifications Fluent in Spanish and English. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to accurately interpret and translate in an educational setting. Commitment to confidentiality.
