In this role you will be responsible for maintaining Ecoplexus solar assets for superior financial performance and maximum environmental benefit. This key position is responsible for assisting the O&M team in efforts to maximize the uptime and output of Ecoplexus solar facilities. The Solar O&M Maintenance Technician reports to the Sr. Director of Operations (O&M).
Responsibilities: - Conduct Preventive Maintenance of ground mount solar farms
- Work with the Operations team to diagnose equipment and system underperformance.
- Electrical troubleshooting (identify ground faults, detect under performance, bad strings / feeders, faulty modules / inverters, and communications equipment)
- Perform onsite corrective maintenance
- Inspect sites and report on conditions.
- Assist Site Manager with maintaining spares inventory and initiating replenishment when needed.
- Assist with the startup of solar facilities
- Adhere to safety procedures
Requirements: - Strong understanding of electrical theory and applications
- 2+ years experience in commercial or utility electrical construction or maintenance
- Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out of hazardous energy
- Proficiency with computers for documentation and report communications.
- Ability to work outdoors, carry up to 50 lbs., walk on rough, uneven terrain.
- High integrity, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be covered by Company's insurance (i.e. no recent driving infractions)
- OSHA 10
Qualifications :
- Experience maintaining solar facilities (preferably large scale ground mount)
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B
- NABCEP, IR imaging, OSHA 30 and PV O&M certifications
- Experience with tools for electrical testing to include: insulation resistance, IV Curve Tracing, IR scans, irradiance measuring, and Clamp on AC/DC multimeter
- Ability to solve complex problems in the field.
- Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a field related to electrical technology, preferred.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00*
