The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and case carts within a hospital Central Services environment. The role requires certification and at least three years of experience in sterile processing, with additional knowledge of materials management preferred. This position supports patient care by ensuring sterile supplies and equipment are properly processed and available for surgical procedures.
Description
The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for all task-based Central Services activities. Central Services activities include, but are not limited to: decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of Central Services supplies.
