Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. On average, Plains handles more than 6 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Plains has an immediate opening for a Senior Marketing Scheduler in our Houston, Texas, office. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Scheduling-Marketing, and assist the team in providing services across all groups within PMLP. In addition, you will interact with third-party pipeline owners and counterparts with PMLP marketing customers. This role will, on occasion, require work after hours and on weekends. Our ideal candidate is communicative, analytical, and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory balances across all third-party pipelines and PMLP terminals.
  • Manage customer contract exchange balance.
  • Provide current month biweekly inventory projection reports.
  • Write up trader spot contracts and enter into contracts system.
  • Confirm all customer contract volumes for current trade month by 25th of every month.
  • Submit all third-party pipeline nominations on time and maintain revisions as needed.
  • Review contracts with imbalances greater than 1,000 total barrels.
  • Review contracts and validate correct leases are being booked to contracts.
  • Review discrepancies between actual and scheduled volume.
  • Create and maintain a customer contact list of scheduling counterparties.
  • Work with Crude Oil Accounting to reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Review pipeline statements for accuracy and work with pipeline schedulers and accounting to reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Compare third-party pipeline transfer volumes between pipelines and match what is delivered versus what is received on connecting pipelines.
  • Review statement invoices for correct tariff charges.
  • Create and maintain a pipeline contact list.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years' scheduling experience.
  • Organized, conscientious, and able to work effectively and show good judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks.
  • Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing. #Plains
