Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning and storytelling through financial forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and analysis. Use business information and financial analysis to provide business insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision-making. This role is part of the FP&A team and reports to the Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to evaluate assumptions and translate business plans into operating and capital expense forecasts and budgets in alignment with corporate initiatives
  • Prepare financial reviews with variance and trend analysis, business context, and underlying assumptions
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to provide insights, guide decision making and evaluate business solutions
  • Develop and manage supporting financial schedules and cost models
  • Maintain and improve forecast and analysis tools and processes
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure consistency across budgets, forecasts, and actuals
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and key performance metrics

Education & Experience

  • Experience working with business partners to deliver budget and forecasts
  • Experience performing financial analysis including variance and trend analysis
  • Experience developing cost and financial models
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in FP&A or corporate finance
  • ERP, financial planning software, and corporate performance management software experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

  • Strong analytical skills with inquisitive approach to understanding business and financial performance drivers
  • Ability to navigate successfully through ambiguous conditions to drive results
  • Skilled in financial budgeting, forecasting, cost modeling, and financial modeling
  • Proficient in financial analysis including variance, trend, scenario, sensitivity, and cost analysis
  • Capable of translating team objectives into actionable steps
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively identify improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and to manage tasks and shifting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and remote communications
  • Ability to concisely convey information and financial data to all levels within and across the organization
  • Knowledge of GAAP, operating vs. capital expenses, accruals, prepaids, and general ledger
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Business Travel & Job Location

  • Position requires minimal to no travel
  • This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Bellevue, WA. A hybrid schedule of occasional in-office days and work from home arrangements within the Greater Seattle area is welcome

Pay and Benefits

The typical starting salary range for this position is between $100,952-$126,189 per year. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Employees in this position have the potential to increase their base salary up to $151,427per year, which is the max end of the range, based on ongoing demonstrated and continuous performance in the role. Short-Term incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.
