What you will be doing: - Coordinate and monitor student services.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments.
- Review assessment data and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with students, families, staff, and agencies to develop individualized education and behavior intervention plans.
- Work with District staff to determine appropriate placement for eligible special education students.
- Provide mental health services to students through daily check-ins and small group or individual behavior support.
- Perform threat assessments regarding threats of self-harm, harm to others, or suicide; monitor and provide direct services according to safety and support plans.
- Conduct academic screenings and assessments to place students in appropriate programs.
- Consult and coordinate with other District and school staff to promote engagement and motivate students.
- Attend and participate in continuing education to maintain certifications and stay updated on current trends and developments in child psychology.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Experience you will need: - Master’s degree in Educational Psychology or related field
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Understanding of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment methods.
- Proficiency in intervention techniques.
- Must be certified as a School Psych in AZ
