As the Sanitation Manager, you’ll build, lead, and maintain world-class sanitation programs that comply with industry standards and meet rigorous internal quality benchmarks. You will work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement lasting improvements in sanitation practices, chemical management, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive sanitation programs aligned with SSOP, BRC, USDA, FDA, and SQF requirements.
• Maintain the master sanitation schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections and internal audits to verify cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
• Manage sanitation chemical inventory and procurement.
• Lead, train, and supervise the sanitation team, ensuring full regulatory understanding and performance accountability.
• Partner with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders on sanitation compliance, inspections, and continuous improvement.
• Drive root cause analysis and CAPA execution for sanitation-related issues.
• Champion plant-wide sanitation initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain updated sanitation policies and communicate changes throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure smooth line startups and effective sanitization protocols.
• Promote a safety-first culture aligned with food safety and regulatory frameworks.
• Support overall food safety and quality goals in the plant.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of sanitation management experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of sanitation chemicals, cleaning processes, and equipment systems.
• Deep knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA, SQF, PMO, and OSHA standards.
• Proven leadership skills with a hands-on, team-oriented management approach.
• High attention to detail and passion for cleanliness and hygiene excellence.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluency in Spanish required.
