Job Title: Salesforce Architect
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Job Type: Long-term contract
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop advanced customizations on Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other technologies.
2. Analyze and review business, functional, and technical requirements for the Salesforce platform.
3. Create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and system triggers.
4. Develop and maintain technical design documentation related to system architecture on Salesforce platform.
5. Work closely with different stakeholders, including developers, analysts, QA, and operations teams to ensure Salesforce platform meets business needs and goals.
6. Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
7. Provide training and technical assistance to other team members on the Salesforce platform.
8. Conduct system performance testing to ensure platform reliability, capacity, and scalability.
9. Ensure compliance with Salesforce best practices, style guides, and standards.
10. Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field and 15+ years of IT work experience
2. Certifications in Salesforce, such as Certified Platform Developer I, Certified Platform Developer II, or Certified Technical Architect are preferred.
3. Proven experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or the pharmaceutical industry.
4. Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture and design patterns.
5. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other technologies.
6. Experience in integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, and BULK APIs.
7. Solid understanding of CRM and platform features.
8. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
9. Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
10. Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
