Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in the specialized field of chemical transportation and logistics . The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of proven success in selling transportation services to clients in the chemical industry , with a strong understanding of hazmat regulations, bulk freight logistics, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the chemical manufacturing and distribution sectors .
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and logistics managers.
Present and sell trucking and freight solutions tailored to hazardous materials and chemical transport.
Negotiate contracts and pricing while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DOT, EPA, OSHA).
Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery.
Maintain an up-to-date CRM with client interactions, leads, and pipeline progress.
Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings as needed.
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in sales , specifically within the chemical industry or hazmat transportation sector.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hazmat classifications , and bulk liquid or dry freight logistics .
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive B2B environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to travel regionally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Chemistry, or related field.
Existing network of chemical industry clients or logistics contacts.
Experience with tanker, ISO tank, or intermodal transportation services.
