Estimator/Project Manager

Location: Jonesboro, AR

Salary: Starting at $80k (Based on experience)

Our client, a leader in the commercial and residential roofing industry in Arkansas, has been committed to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction since their founding in 1977. Specializing in a variety of commercial roofing systems, they are currently seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join their team.

The Position:

The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for bidding, planning, and managing commercial roofing projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in a variety of roofing systems and the ability to manage all aspects of project estimation and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bid Preparation and Analysis:
• Analyze projects and prepare bid requests based on architectural drawings and field knowledge.
• Perform project takeoffs and ensure bid requirements and costs are accurately documented using The Edge Estimating software and Blue Beam.
• Review and interpret architectural drawings to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Project Management:
• Order materials and direct crews on project specifics, ensuring all work aligns with project plans and schedules.
• Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Schedule jobs and manage on-site activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Climb ladders and perform on-site roof takeoffs as needed.
• Communication and Documentation:
• Maintain strong communication skills internally and externally, ensuring clear and effective interactions with all stakeholders.
• Track requests, approved changes, and customer requirements with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ensure compliance with complex contract requirements and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

• Five to eight years or more experience in bidding and managing a variety of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, Built-up, Modified bitumen, and possibly metal roofing.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and perform project takeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and manage complex contracts.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in The Edge Estimating software and Blue Beam.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform on-site roof takeoffs.
• Strong computer skills.
