What You’ll Do…

These positions are located at our R&D Facilities in Houston. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time on-site internships. The summer 2025 internship is expected to begin on May 19, 2025.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Projects you could potentially work on include:

• Research, create, and help drive new innovative Data Engineering and Data Science initiatives
• Contribute to the documentation and delivery of analytics
• Adhere to coding standards as set by the team lead
• Develop, validate, and implement data models and algorithms such as linear regression, random forest, etc.
• Proactively learn about new technologies and tools related to data engineering and data science
• Defect fixing in data pipelines and algorithms as required
• Work with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and others to understand data requirements and design solutions

What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, and SQL
• Ability & desire to work with a multi-disciplinary team (data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts)

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of relational databases
• Knowledge on using developer tools like MS Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

• Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
• Relocation assistance.

Salary Range: $26 - $36/hour
