Real Estate Analyst

Long-story short: we're looking for a hardworking, smart, detail-oriented quantitative-loving excel guru that can analyze commercial and residential investment properties of all shapes and sizes. This role will start out helping us determine offer pricing for acquisitions and has room to grow into fundraising support and asset management.

If you don't have years of experience analyzing commercial or multifamily properties by building DCFs and defending assumptions with data, you are not a fit for this role.

Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience underwriting residential and commercial acquisitions. You love heads-down work and don't need a lot of rah rah at work to stay happy. You are organized, highly detail oriented, and keep a cool head while managing multiple projects while always meeting deadlines. Your writing skills are solid, and you pride yourself on communicating in a concise and professional manner. You understand the importance of building relationships both internally and externally and credit your organizational and interpersonal skills as key ingredients of your success.

What you'll do

• Assist the Investments Team in the analysis of potential acquisition opportunities including:Determining preliminary income and expense projections

Evaluating in place and market rents. Assessing economic, demographic and real estate market data. Analyzing and tracking sales comp data. Preparing, and ensuring the accuracy of, residual land value analyses and proforma underwritings.

• Prepare preliminary financial packages for Investment Committee
• Maintain and regularly update proformas during the lifecycle of investments, from the initial valuation and due diligence process through business plan execution and disposition
• Prepare cash flow projections to evaluate investment alternatives and exit strategies

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or other math-related subject, with high academic achievement
• 3+ years of professional experience in the real estate investment business
• High proficiency with Excel modeling
• Demonstrated passion for real estate
• Intermediate to advanced real estate finance knowledge
• Experience with cash flow modeling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus opportunities
