***POSITION IS ONSITE IN NORCO, CA***

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with 1–2 years of software development experience who are eager to grow their technical skills in both front-end and back-end development. The candidate should be passionate about learning, able to apply academic or project-based experience to real-world challenges, and willing to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Build user-friendly interfaces using React or Vue.js
• Apply HTML5 and CSS3 skills to create responsive and accessible web applications
• Assist in developing server-side applications with Node.js
• Learn and apply C# and SQL for backend integration and database queries
• Support integration of Tableau dashboards and reports into applications
• Gain familiarity with embedded metadata and analytics-driven features
• Collaborate using Git for version control
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under guidance from senior developers
• Learn troubleshooting and performance optimization techniques
• Translate business needs into technical tasks with mentoring support
• Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
• Demonstrate curiosity, continuous learning, and proactive problem-solving

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent project/internship experience)
• Academic or professional experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vite,Vue.js)
• Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Exposure to Node.js, C#, and SQL through coursework, internships, or projects
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship Required
• If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, co-op, or 1–2 years of experience in software development
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and their integration
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices
• Knowledge of secure coding principles or interest in learning them
