GENERAL DESCRIPTION Performs initial and intermediate fabrication processes of all precast GATE by DEX products starting with cured product, to product that is polished and ready for finishing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Fabrication process of all precast products excluding tile to include: Initial polishing, filling pores or holes with selected materials
- Repair of chips, blemishes, and cracks
- Final polishing after repairs and fills
- Saw cuts and cutouts when necessary
- Inspection of product to templates or drawings prior to polishing to assure accuracy in polishing details and final product dimensions
- Fabrication of all products to GATE by DEX quality standards
- Dry fitting of all custom products to assure proper installation and fitting
- Check for anchor installation for all sinks and drains
- Reports missing anchors to project manager
- Performs regular maintenance of all polishing tools
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows GATE by DEX safety procedures and policies at all times
- Performs additional duties as requested or required
- Overtime required as needed
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED - High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- On-the-job training offered
- Precast/construction experience preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work with tools, hand tools and equipment safely
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally
- Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
- Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently
WORK ENVIRONMENT - Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements.
- Moderate to high risk of safety precautions.
- Moderate to high exposure to production environment.
- Wet, hot, humid, and wintry conditions (weather related) (plant specific)
- Ability to work outside year-round (plant specific)
