This position combines night audit responsibilities with supervisory oversight of front-line departments after hours, including Front Desk, Security, and Housekeeping. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and confident making independent decisions while maintaining the resort’s standards of service, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.

• Monitor resort facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness for the following day’s operations.

• Coordinate with overnight housekeeping and security to address maintenance or safety issues promptly.

• Complete the night audit process: balance daily transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate required financial and occupancy reports.

• Review and verify postings, room charges, and folios for accuracy.

• Supervise overnight staff, providing directions, coaching, and support as needed.

• Conduct nightly property walkthroughs of public spaces and back-of-house areas.

• Uphold and enforce resort policies, safety standards, and emergency procedures.

  • Responsible for obtaining coverage of the front desk when callouts cause staffing shortage, including reporting to work when not scheduled if unable to locate sufficient coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in front office or night audit roles; prior supervisory experience in hospitality strongly preferred.

• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

• Technical: Proficiency with property management systems (e.g., Opera, Maestro, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite; basic accounting or audit knowledge a plus.

• Schedule: Must be available to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally (such as luggage, supplies, or equipment).

• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting as job duties require.

• Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, phones, and other office or front desk equipment.

• Ability to visually inspect property areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, during property walk-throughs.

• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Requires alertness and mobility throughout the property during overnight hours.

• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, occasionally exposed to varying weather conditions.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Working Conditions

• This position primarily operates overnight and requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events as business levels demand.

• Work is performed in a hotel and office environment, with regular movement throughout guest areas, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.

• The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate, though occasional exposure to higher noise levels may occur during events or maintenance activities.

• May occasionally be required to perform or assist with physical tasks, such as moving equipment, restocking supplies, or responding to operational needs during the night shift.

• Exposure to varying indoors and outdoor temperatures may occur during property inspections or emergency response situations.

• Overnight team members may work independently for portions of the shift and must remain alert and responsive to guest and property needs at all times

Schedule: Overnight Shift (typically 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)
